Exploring the old northern spiritual pathways,
... influenced by an indigenous mindset.

“Druids of Turtle Island” was a term first spoken by a druidic elder now lost to time and the spirits.

It has been picked up again more recently as a way of forging a new spiritual path that fits the shape of the paths we now take in this new world.

Example … The first member of this Circle would walk in the woods as a kid, dreamed of groves and trees, but had no idea about real druids nor any of the old ways.

He was lucky enough to originally be taught by two elders with the Bear Tribe Medicine Society and afterwards, a few members of the Aniyvwiya (Cherokee), Lakhota and Ojibewa peoples.

Later found similarities within his own European heritage and now follows old Northern Europe nature-based spiritual pathways, influenced by “Turtle Island” … ie. teachings from the Spirits, First Peoples and Natural World of this land mixed with those inspired by his own ancestors.

Basically, a Druid of Turtle-Island is a Norse-Albionic American Druid, exploring their own individual animistic path, and how it connects with the natural world and spiritual realms.

Although our ancestral roots may originate from elsewhere, we now find ourselves here in this New World, seeking to forge our own connections with this land and its many Spirits … through use of old & new world paths as well as others uniquely one’s own.

"We are related to all things, and all things are related to us."

~~~ Adapted from the Lakota’s “Mitákuye Oyásʼiŋ,” which means “We are all related.”
